Beware: (This will be the longest post you'll ever read)

So where do I start off? How about, I'm sorry for neglecting my blog for so long when all my posts lately have been pretty much been BLAH. I just haven't had any enthusiasm lately to write about what's been going on because honestly, not much has. I mean there's been a few worthy things I should've been blogging about but I guess I just wanted to save it and share with you guys when I felt like actually writing and not half-assing it with "bullet points".

Soooo, let's take it back one time shall we.

Thanksgiving weekend was the bomb diggity! Spent 3 full days with all my loved ones and had so much food stuffed down my throat, I was literally in a food coma all the way up until Monday. Had a marvelous time with everyone, although..at some points there were some awkward moments, but all in all it was a great Thanksgiving..but that's just my opinion.

Dinner on Friday with my family.

Black Friday came and gone and straight up took my money. Didn't really go all out with the shopping, but I did manage to find a few good deals online and at Target. I bought a waffle maker, finally! I also wanted to get my $3 panini press aka sandwhich maker, but of course we got to Target too late and they were sold out. Almost bought a griddle, but decided not to, so I'll let Jay surprise me with that on Christmas! Haha ;)  Made two trips to Target and Walmart that day. One in the morning with Jay and then at night with my mom, sister in law and my niece and nephews. It was fun trying to find other good deals, but saddening when all we were looking for, were already gone. But the good of that day was that, I finally got my waffle maker..so I was happy!

Me and Jay playing around with hats!

The weekend flew by super quick. It was a lazy one, knowing that it was super freezing and raining all Saturday and Sunday. But we still managed to get our tree! Woohoo!

Before

After

Also on Sunday, we found out some news from my dad's side. Unfortunately lately, my Lolo has been sick and had to undergo a bone marrow biopsy for his anemia. His kidney also isn't functioning well right now, therefore he's been feeling pretty weak. My cousin Imelda emailed us and all our other cousins and family on my dad's side wanting to know if we would be willing to help plan a Rivera Family Reunion on behalf of my Lolo. Of course there was no doubt in my mind that I would help.

What's more unfortunate on my end and also on my sister's and brother's, is that we don't see my dad's side of the family as often as we see my mom's. I don't like and I'm not happy about it, but were just not as close to them as we were back when we were kids. I mean it's good because we all keep in contact with them through email and Facebook, but it's just not the same. We have already lost my Lola (my dad's mom) and I had so much regret held inside of me when she passed because I didn't get to see her when she came back here from the Philippines, and then one day while I was at school, I hear that she had a heart attack and she didn't make it.

I DON'T WANT TO PUT OFF TIME THAT I CAN SEE MY LOVED ONES because I was "too busy" or because I have "other things to do". Hell yeah I wish I had a close relationship with my dad's side and yes I do wish we saw them more often than just a few times a year, therefore, I hope this reunion with our family, will change all of that.

Now on to a more lighter note, getting through last week was really a rollercoaster. Good times, okay times, thankful times, and sad times. But I got through it all. Now here we are, now here I am..the first day of the last month of the year. I have so much excitement inside of me yet so much of me is unsure of what these next few weeks will bring. No matter what, I know it'll be good. I feel blessed to have gotten through yet another year...and I'm thankful for all that has happened and all that didn't. I'm ready to end this year on a good note, therefore starting today, there's no looking back just living in the moment. It's time to make the most out of what we have today.

P.S Happy 20th Birthday to my cousin/"Partner in Crime" Stephanie! May all your wishes come true <333
