Still alive after last minute shopping.

Yes, I am still alive and I made it through these last 3 days with my hair and head still intact. Remind me not to do this ever again please. Last minute shopping sucks, but for some reason...today wasn't so bad. But WEDNESDAY, that's a different story. So me and Jay ended up going to the mall just like I said..and oh-em-gee was it super hot in there. I don't understand, don't all malls have AC up in them? Well obviously NOT Great Mall! So let me remind you...it was super freezing outside and almost starting to rain, so I had my puffy jacket on. But I swear, I couldn't breath with that thing on while I was walking around the mall. First annoyance, puffy jacket=me hot. Second annoyance, too many people. Third annoyance PEOPLE STEPPING ON MY FEET! Not the business! Fourth annoyance, we walked around the mall for 2 hours, give or take and ended up buying only 3 gifts, but all for ONE person. How many people left on the list? 6! Unbelievable.

As you can sense already, I must sound super annoyed writing this post, so you must know how I felt that day. After the mall, we went to Target and Wal-Mart, where we made some progress. I felt really bad that night because in between each store we went too, I would wine and complain about being so hot, hungry and the lines taking forever. Just acting like a total "diva" (which is so not a good thing) and I know I really pissed Jay off. I apologized, because I know he was just as stressed as I was. The night ended up changing for the better as soon as we realized we were almost done. Had a late dinner then went home.

Yesterday we both had work, but thank goodness it was our Friday. Came home and then ended up going grocery shopping with my mom. Today was the actual FINAL day for everything. It was either get something or not. Of course we got something for everyone, but at this point in time..we didn't really care (as long as we got everyone something). We were actually pretty lucky today though. Got up extra early and made it to all the stores and to the mall before the rush. We even scored front row parking spaces at each store! Haha. Overall, we accomplished everything and I'm happy with everything we got for everyone. Now, it's time to finish wrapping and then get ready for tonight's Christmas Eve party at my Aunt's house.

I'm excited to get all dolled up AND finally use my new camera! I know it won't be 'til probably late Saturday or Sunday until I post again, so I just wanted to say that I wish you girls-all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! I'm thankful for all you and I hope Santa brings you all just what you asked for! Have a fun and safe night! <3333

XOXO

Shopping 'til I drop, literally.

After waiting a couple of days to finish our Christmas shopping for everyone and I mean EVERYONE, today is the final d-day me and Jay are finishing up all the shopping. We really have no choice since tomorrow I'm working 'til 6 and then after that we have to go to Costco with my parents to buy everything we need for our Christmas dinner. Which leaves us with not much time to do any x-mas shopping whatsoever. And then there's Friday, but there's no way I'm trying to get any Christmas shopping done then. It'll be way too hectic out there. Besides, I'm hoping that today won't be so bad..or at least, I hope not.

Our plans are once Jay get's home from work to head over to Milpitas. We have to go to Great Mall (which we haven't been there in forever), then to Ross, Wal-Mart and then to Target. Crazy, I know. I wasn't even looking forward to going shopping today, especially since I have no idea what to get some people still. And me, not wanting to go shopping is really rare. I just really hope that I'm able to find most of the things that people wanted, just so it would make it much more easier for us to finish.

Starting today is the beginning of a hectic week. We'll get through it eventually. Then after Friday, it's just all up here from there.

I know this is all going to be worth it.

Christmas came early..

So like it says in the title, Christmas definitely came early for me. It actually came today. I've been waiting for over a week for one of the packages Jay ordered for me, but I wasn't positive on what it actually was. I had a feeling it was either a camera or a phone, but since I knew he couldn't get his hands on an iPhone 4, it had to be a camera. And I was right! If you know me..you would know I'm a total camera whore, literally. I have so many cameras and whenever I get tired of one, I always want a new one. So sad...but it's true. I've been asking for one, a pink/red one specifically and so since Jay knew I liked the Sony W330, he bought it. I received it today and I'm loving it so far. I'm excited because I'm looking forward to using it on Christmas and so on...Oh goodness, me and my electronics. This is how it looks like.

Also this morning, my mom woke up me up right before she was going to work and told me she put the watch by my bed. Still half asleep I didn't even know what she was talking about or nor did I even bother to look..until I had to get out of bed for work. So as I'm getting out of bed, I see this black and purple box and a red one. I open both of them up and I see this (other watch not pictured)! I mentioned to my mom the other day that I wanted the white acrylic watch from Macy*s and with her being the "jewelery lady" (having all the goods, all the time), she actually had 2 watches very similar to the Michael Kors and Fossil one. She ended up giving them to me since she never used them. I actually ended up choosing only one of them (pictured below) and I love it so, so, soooo much!

Thanks to Jay and my mom, I'm loving the early Christmas gifts no doubt! I'm not really expecting anything else, but heyyyyy, the more the merrier! LOL. I'm kidding. BUT, since I'm on that good-good tip right now, today at work, we also found out that we all got a bonus! Plus a $40 gift card to Wal-Mart! It totally made my day. And then when I came home...I find out that I received a Christmas card from my sister Jess and Mark! Loveeee ittt! Today was just really good day. I can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store..

A chill Friday night..

Despite the horrible weather going on here in the East Bay, it didn't stop me and Jay from doing a little shopping and grabbing a bite to eat at Panda Express. My craving for "honey walnut shrimp" was finally fulfilled and I was one happy camper! I also tired their cream cheese rangoons (basically a cream cheese wonton) which was also pretty good.

Before that though, we did some more x-mas shopping at Target which is really starting to become our favorite store now (sorry Wal-Mart haha). Crossed 3 more people off our list, thank God. After we ate..I was craving something sweet so stopped by Starbucks and got myself my pumpkin spice latte and rice krispy treat :) YOU KNOW, the usual!

Now were just back at home, in bed, chillin'. Thankfully we got home right before it started raining cats and dogs out there. Hope you loves have a great and safe weekend! Drive safe and keep warm.

All "Christmased" out!

Okay so I know "Christmased" in not a word, but that's just how I feel right now. I'm pooped! I never actually thought that Christmas shopping could be this stressful. I'm probably just making things more complicating then it should be, but I just feel like I'm not getting much done.

I know you guys are thinking, "Ok, you still have like two weeks left..." but I hate waiting 'til last minute. Today, me and Jay were supposed to go to Target, but then other things came up. And now..here I am putting off things I could've finished today, 'til Sunday. I have work tomorrow, which I am not looking forward too..but what I am looking forward to is going over to my sister and brother-in-laws house tomorrow to watch the UFC fight. Not that I'm into that stuff, but my brother's family along with the kids are going to be there. I missed them so much!

As for now, I feel like cuddling in bed and watching a movie with Jay. Night loves!

The other gifts I finished wrapping today.
My sister bought us each a stocking, yesterday. They were only a $1 each too!

Christmas shopping & wrapping gifts.

Since today was my day off and also my first pay day of the month, I decided to go crazy with Christmas shopping. I've been excited to finally start, but most of all..to start wrapping gifts. Ever since I could remember, wrapping gifts was something I always loved to do with my mom. I remember Christmas Eve afternoon/evening, I would help her wrap all the gifts so they would all be ready for Christmas Day. Now, ever since I've started working and buying my own gifts for my family, I try to get all the shopping and wrapping done asap!

First thing this morning as soon as I woke up, I made sure to put in all my online orders that I've been debating on purchasing. It felt good to cross off 5 people on our list, but I'm still kind of ehhhhh that we still have 16 more people to go :( It seems like so much, but I'm sure we'll have at least half of it done by next week.

After I did my online shopping, I got started on wrapping gifts! It was so fun, but I realized I didn't have as much wrapping paper or bows that I needed. So once Jay got home, we headed over to Wal-Mart and bought a few more things, including boxes and more tissue paper.

As much as I enjoy this Holiday season and getting ready for Christmas, I just can't wait for all this shopping for people to be over with. But on a more positive note, I know the look on my loved ones faces once they see what we got them, will all be worth it :)

The season of giving..

As Christmas gets closer and only 20 days left  'til the day..I'm still stuck in a rut on what to get all my loves for Christmas. Having a big family, mine and Jay's combined leaves us with 21 people. Every year is always a challenge for us because one, were always very limited on money and two, we love to get everyone more than one gift, but this year...just might have to be a little different.

Now I know Christmas is not about what you give or what you receive, but Christmas has always been a way I loved to give back to the people who deserve it..which is family. The ones who I hold near and dear to my heart.  Right now though, I'm just stressing on WHAT to get everyone. Not that anyone's picky or anything, but I always want that one gift to mean something you know..not just something random.

As for Jay..being who and how he is, he tells me he doesn't want anything. Ughhh! Haha. Although I do have a list of things I'm planning on getting him..I'm already excited just thinking about it ;)

I've started making a list of everyone and the things I'm planning on getting them. Hopefully this helps because right now..I need all the help I can get. If any of you have any websites or ideas of places that have low prices for gifts, please feel free to let me know! I appreciate A LOT!

My Monday and Christmas music..

Work is pretty slow today and as I'm sitting at my desk, listening to christmas songs on 96.5, I'm daydreaming. I dazed off so hard that I forgot I was at work. Haha. I'm still tired from last night, yet a bunch of things are running through my head like a stampede.

As my desk is facing our front door, I see all the shoppers filling their carts full of items, probably Christmas gifts all ready to be wrapped. And yet, here I am, so not ready for Thanksgiving OR Black Friday. But of course, I'm excited for the rush of it all. This week is going to be a busy one and I know these quiet moments that I have here at work for the next two days are what I'm gonna be feening for once Wednesday rolls around.

Thankfully, I'm off starting Wednesday, but since were going to be celebrating my brother's birthday that night, I know it's bound to crazy (but good). Thursday afternoon, me and Jay are having lunch with his family and were also planning on taking family pictures that day too, since Jay's sister and her boyfriend are photographers. Then later at night, we have Thanksgiving dinner at my cousin Steph's house. Everyone's going to be there. Come Friday morning, were still debating on if were going shopping. Jay's up for it, but will it be worth it? YES! Haha, we'll probably just go to check things out. Then later at night, my sister's, brothers, parents and the kids going to have our Thanksgiving dinner at my house. 3 days full of food, so much for working out these past few months! Lol.

But anyway, I'm just ready for these next two days to be over with so we can have Thanksgiving and spend time with FAM. Food + Loved ones = Happy Maritess!

Because Christmas is just around the corner.

Aside from my birthday being the one thing I look forward to every year, Christmas is the second thing that I literally count down the days for. There's 47 days 'til Christmas and I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Today was already the first day of Daylight Savings and in about 2 weeks, it'll be Thanksgiving. It's really all amazing to me because I'm so not ready for it all haha.

Anyway, earlier today...Jay and I were listening to a bunch of Christmas songs on Youtube and we came across one song that is definitely a must hear once Santa Claus comes rollin' through. This was always a favorite of mine and I'm sure it's probably one of you guys' too.
