Having the chance to visit Hawaii again with my family was something so incredible. The feeling of being care free is what I know all of us will miss the most. Being away from all the "usual day-to-day stuff", off with a different state of mind, different time, not worrying about the next day or the day after that. I miss waking up and and not having to worry about what I have to do, rather than what I want to do. But I have to say, being away on the islands really put me in a whole different state of mind.
For 7 wonderful days, I had the privilege to spend actual QUALITY TIME with my family and within those 7 wonderful days, I had the chance to see my parents have the time of their lives. It's been awhile since my parents went on vacation, so me and my sister were a little iffy that they might have their Wowowee withdrawals or miss all their teleseries they watch every night, but luckily..they had so much fun, they didn't even care about it! Lol. Just to see my parents enjoy themselves was way more than I could ask for. This trip wasn't for me, but for them. I mean yeah, I was so stoked to finally be on vacation, but as the days went by while we were in Hawaii, just spending all that time with my parents, sister, nephew and Jay was really all I needed.
Here back at home, we don't get to do that much. We see each other everyday, but most of the time everyone's either busy doing their own thing or exhausted from a long day at work that we don't have the chance to do a lot together. So I'm grateful we took this trip, although it was unfortunate that my brother, his family and my other sister and her husband couldn't make it. But we promised that next time, we'll all be there together!
So I guess what I'm trying to say besides all this rambling that I've been doing is that, spending time with your loved ones every chance you get is so important. I know at times of struggle, lots of times, we always say that we want to get away, sometimes from everything and everyone, but in all honesty-all we really need to be is around are the ones we love. It's that REAL GOOD quality time that heals our hearts and puts us in that "life is good" mentality. Being in the presence of my loved ones is always a blessing, but also a vacation in disguise. It is them that put me at ease, it is them who keep me going and relaxed, and it is because of them that I love this life I live.

This makes me smile :) I really want to take my parents, or rather my whole family on vacation one of these days. My parents don't travel much and I'd love to see them having fun in a new environment rather than worrying about certain things and watching their shows on the TFC. And just like you, I see my family everyday but we're always doing our own thing.
I'm glad that you and your family got to really spend quality time in one of the most beautiful places! You all can definitely go back; I hope to go back and bring my fam along with me :)
Btw, I liked all 3 albums on your FB. No surprise, I was drooling over the food. HAHA.
You guys would have a blast wherever you decide to go together! As long as you're all together, that's what matters ;) Maybe once you guys get settled into you new home. I'm sure your parents would need some time to unwind then.
Haha, all the food that I ate in Hawaii was so delicious and savory! I swear I gained tons of pounds just inhaling it all haha!
