Santa Barbara or Santa Monica?

Wanting to go on a getaway shouldn't be so hard, especially if you wanna GET AWAY pronto, but for some reason..me and Jay always have the hardest time deciding when, where and which place to go. Haha. In March he wanted to either visit Santa Barbara or Santa Monica. We have friends in Santa Barbara and I know both places would be great to visit and both are really beautiful, but were stuck.

I just want a nice, relaxing weekend with my boo. With the beach, cool breeze and warm sun!
Both places can provide all of that, but I don't know which one to choose.
