Wednesdays, my R&R days.

I never thought I would love Wednesdays as much as I do now. Having the privilege to be off on Wednesdays is exactly what I need in a full work week. Back when I used to work in retail, having any weekdays off were just as great as having weekends off because at least in between the days of the week..I can have one day of rest and then continue on the next day with work.

Wednesdays have grown to be my work out days with Steph along with Fridays. It's also the one day of the week where I'm the only one in the house from 8AM-4PM and have my peace and quiet. Usually when I get home from work, it's already 6 and everyones already home. But Wednesdays, those are my days to escape.

It was basically a chill day. Had a workout session with Steph and watched the #SFGIANTS parade on t.v. I really, REALLY wished me and Jay were there because I know how much fun we would've had, but of course to him...it's "business before pleasure". I can't blame him for wanting to make that money. After me and Steph's session, we just chilled and talked. Took a shower awhile ago and now I'm just waiting for Dad to finish dinner. Mmm...Sinigang ribs! My fave :)

I'm so exhausted and my legs are feeling like jello haha. 'I swear, I'm about to knock out after dinner. Anyway, hope you girls are having a lovely Wednesday! Just two more days to go :)

SF GIANTS WIN THE SERIES!

Congratulations GIANTS! It feels good to be reppin' a team from the BAY. They wanted it as much as everyone else out there and worked as hard as they could to get to where they did.  They deserved this! I see you Lincecum ;) "F*ck Yeah!" GIANTS FTW BABY!

Kickboxing, Yoga, Relaxation, and a good day for the #BAY.

Hello world!

Today started off early as usual. Gave Steph an early wakeup call (more like text) for our early morning workout session. Had a bagel to start off then got right into it. We first started off with Amy Dixon's Kickboxing. Kickboxing was something I've always wanted to try, but never got around to doing it. To be honest, it took me awhile to keep up after not being in shape and embarrassingly enough, I was so uncoordinated. But as we kept doing it, luckily I finally caught up. That exercise was incredibly intense. Truthfully, I even had to take a few breaks here and there but I'm proud to say we both didn't give up. We did as much as we could and now, I feel the burn! Haha. It feels great actually. I can't bend over or squat, but to know I'm in somewhat pain, I know I did something good for myself.

After a little break in between, we then started Patti Asad's YogaWorks. That was actually the first time I have ever attempted to do Yoga and can I just say, I LOVED IT! Doing all those stretches made me feel really good after. To know that my body is still able to bend like it did today, really surprises me ;) The whole 50 minutes was great and I'm really looking forward to doing it again.

During our breaks, me and Steph would obviously chismis about a bunch of stuff which is always normal when us to get together. That's what us girls do. She mentioned to me about this App that she had on her phone that basically talks you into a deep relaxation state while your about to fall asleep. Feeling a bit exhausted after our workouts, we decided to try it out. For about 15 mins, we were listening to a man, putting us to sleep while he put us in this deep relaxation state. Supposedly after we were to listen to this, we were to feel more positive about life and that our outlook on everything was to be positive. Now I don't know how legit this really was supposed to be, but after I wokeup from this "trance" I did feel a little bit more energized and relaxed. Maybe it's just all in our head, but I felt good! Haha.

After freshening up, we met back up at my house and did our nails for Saturday. Obviously the Giants game was on and once everyone got home from work, all of us were huddled in the garage watching it. Once again, always fun times. They won of course. Also, so did the Warriors who also played today. Overall, it was a really great day for the Bay teams.

The next few days are going to be crazy. Tomorrow I have work 'til 6 and then after were planning on going to get Jay's costume, which I hope they still have. Then we need to go buy all the things to make for Saturday's party. Friday, yet another work out day with Steph, errands to run, and then decorate for the party. I hope I'll have time to blog in between then! But as for now...my bed is calling my name. Hope you guys had a great Wednesday! Good night.

Congratulations GIANTS!

I must say, it feels really nice to have a sports team from THE BAY making it to the World series. I'm not much of a baseball fan nor do I have the patience to sit through the whole game, but knowing that the Giants (a favorite of my family) are gonna be taking it to ship, then I think I can make an acception. Again, congrats Giants, you deserve it!

Happy early birthday Dad!

So being the wonderful daughter that I am, I decided to get my dad something that I knew he would totally LOVE for his birthday, which is tomorrow. Unfortunately, since I had to order it online, he won't be getting it until a week after his birthday but it's all good. My dad isn't one who expects things nor does he ever ask for anything besides hats or new socks (haha), but because of that...getting things for him makes it just more exciting.

So as I was saying, being the "wonderful daughter" that I am...I ordered him a authentic SF Giants jacket. Even though you end up spending a grip on these jackets, it's definitely worth it 'cus since the Giants have played, every night, my dad and the rest of the fam would be huddled around the t.v, cheering our heads off,  watching the games. My dad has always been a true Giants fan, therefore getting this jacket for him is so worth everything. The money, the wait, but most of all..the look on his face once he gets it :)
