On a more lighter note..

Today me and Jay had dinner with both my sisters, brother-in-law and nephew at BJ's. It was really just a great way to get all our minds off of the whole moving situation. And to start off our weekend on a good note.

Had some good laughs and enjoyed our food, drinks and dessert. Too bad our waitress was rude, haha. But I didn't care because I had my plate of ribs and my loaded baked potato haha. Fatass, I know! LOL! Overall it was a great time. 3 course menu..boyyyyeeeeeee! ;)

Jay's Birthday @BJ's

So on Jay's birthday, we decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants, BJ's. But instead of going with his sister and her bf, we ended up just going with my family. Which was perfectly fine with Jay because since his sister and her bf were leaving for Hawaii early the next morning anyway, he didn't want them to be out late and drive all the way to Fremont. 

So it was me, Jay, my nephew Justin, my sisters and mom. My brother's fam weren't able to make it because the little ones had school the next day and my dad was working on our car. But overall, I know Jay had a really good time! Good food as always, drinks and family talk with lots of laughs. Jay also got a free pizookie for his birthday, which is one of the main reasons why we love BJ's! Not because it's free (haha) but because pizookie's are freakin' delish ;)

NYE 2010

My NYE was great! Had a chill, low key night with all my loved ones and I have to say..it was really one of the best New Year's Eve I've had in awhile. There were plenty of pictures taken, tons of good laughs, and not to forget drinks and shots! We all just had a really great time. We even had our very own firework show, thanks to Jay! It was AMAZING!

Things change and you learn to accept it.

It's not that I ever wanted to admit it or that it bothered me much, but realizing today how much me and my cousin's bond with one another is so different compared to two years ago really blows my mind. It's not like we still don't have parties for someone's birthday (because we do), or it's not like we all don't live by one another because the farthest a family member lives is only 30 minutes.

Things just change. Things happen and the longer and longer it takes for one person to not talk to one another, makes it all so much more awkward when we all see each other. I used to think that our family was "normal", that all our issues would just fix themselves and everything would be okay BECAUSE WE WERE FAMILY, but I was wrong. Having so many cousins and most of us really close in age, there are always bonds that are more tighter and then it becomes who's talking to who or who's NOT talking to who. Unfortunately now, I don't even speak to one of my girl cousins. Me and her grew up together and were so close. So you might ask why we don't speak anymore? Well, not that it matters to me-the fact that I'm not the one who did anything wrong, but..since she's with my ex, you tell me who should be at fault in that situation? Believe me, I got over it a long time ago...but it seems to me like there's a whole guilt cloud hanging over her head and each time she see's me, she can't even look at me. AWKWARD.

Yeah, some things are all screwed. And I've learn to brush it off, but obviously she hasn't which is perfectly fine with me. She's not the only cousin I have. But besides the fact, I know that things are different now. Everyone's much older and as each year comes..we'll all become closer or drift further and further apart. Does it bother me? Not so much because I know I have my own family who are there for me no matter what. Some relationships are worth saving in life, but for me...my relationships with SOME of my cousins aren't even worth it.

And sadly, that is the truth.

Saturday, 11/13: "PACMAN FTW!"

Saturday: The whole day was pretty busy getting ready for the fight. Ran hella errands in the morning and didn't have much time to rest. Everyone pretty much got to the house around 4ish, even before the pre-fights began. It was cool that our house and my cousin's house, which is right next door both ordered the fight because everyone just kept going back and forth anyway.

All of us were just pre-drinkin' before the fight but once it started, everyone was practically buzzin'! Haha. I'm glad everyone had fun, screamin'! I almost lost my voice practically yelling at every time Manny socked Margarito's face. I swear, us Filipino's go crazy when we watch him fight! But that's what MARGARITA get's for talkin' all that shit. PACMAN 'GON DID IT AGAIN! My mom and dad were so happy because they won money for having bet on Round 12! Haha. Overall, the night was crazy, but everyone and I mean everyone had fun! ;)
